Budapest dinner cruise

Last week me and my friends went to experience the Silverline Budapest dinner cruise with traditional Hungarian folklore dance show.

We had really good time and unforgettable memory together. As soon as we get on board, the server was really friendly to show us the seats and bring us welcome fresh sparkling wine. (It was a great start of a Budapest dinner cruise.)

There are appetizer, soup, main course and dessert of four courses fine dining. There are also two vegetarian options which are Grilled halloumi cheese with fresh side salad and Tofu with vegetables.

At the Budapest dinner cruise, first they serve us a Starter with Black Cod, Hungary Sausage, Dock Liver, Paprika four different flavors. And Pumpkin Cream Soup with Roasted Pumpkin Seeds. The main course we tried the Crispy Duck Leg Confit with Cabbage and Gratin Potatoes and Tender Beef Stew with Polenta.

It was tasty and freshly prepared on the Budapest dinner cruise.

The duck was really tender and juicy, really match with the sweet cabbage on the side. The beef stew is very typical traditional Hungarian cuisine, thick stews made by cattle herders and stockmen. Garlic, bell pepper, and wine are optional. Excepting paprikas, the Hungarian stews do not rely on a flour for thickening.

Tomato is a new additional, totally unknown in the original recipe and in the whole Central European food culture until the first half of the twentieth century. Meat is cut into chunks, seasoned with salt, and then browned with sliced onion in a pot with oil. Paprika is added, along with water or stock, and the goulash is left to simmer. Which is one of my favorite Hungarian dish. For me it test like a typical grandmother's home cooking.

In the end we finished our meal with Sponge Cake with Chocolate Sauce. It is not too sweet and just perfect to end with a coup of coffee.

During this Budapest dinner cruise we could see the most beautiful parts of the city. The bridges, and the parliament was wonderful!

And we all had fun during the Budapest dinner cruise!

It was a perfect Budapest dinner cruise.

So if you are in Budapest do not hesitate to experience the folklore dance Budapest dinner cruise with your friends.
